Deuteronomy 28:15
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee.

These are some paradoxes that India needs victory over:
#Booming economy, yet deep poverty
India is the world's 5th largest economy. Yet it has 600 million people living in deep poverty and 300 million live below the bread line. Its annual income is $370 per person, just 1.2% that of the USA.

#The best of world health facilities, yet extensive disease
Indian doctors are the best in the world and are often on staff of the best health facilities across the world. India too has world-class hospitals and health services, which now attract patients from the developed world for great treatment at low prices. Yet, India has the world's highest number of AIDS, leprosy, polio and tuberculosis patients. Millions die every year through water borne preventable diseases.

#Global appeal
Hinduism is widespread around the world thanks to the migration of many Indians to every nation in the world. Many other cultures are today increasingly influenced by the Hindu way of life. The Beatles made it fashionable and today Hindu gods and Hindu worship practices are the backbone of trance music, New Age practices and Yoga. Hitler's Swastika symbol is a holy Hindu symbol that is still found in almost every Indian business premise.
